Lonsdale-backed Mobility Group bolts on Cassellie

Mobility Group, the adapted bathrooms business backed by Lonsdale Capital Partners, has acquired Cassellie.

Cassellie designs and distributes a range of bathroom products to building merchants and retailers across Europe. It is owned by Paul Delaney and James Casey, who will remain with the business post-completion.

The deal will increase Mobility Group’s scale and enable it to ramp up its product development capabilities.

Lonsdale backed the management buy-in of Yorkshire-based Mobility Plus in August 2016. Since then it has pursued an acquisitive growth strategy and increased revenues fivefold. The company, led by Lawrence Warriner, will report turnover of around £60m this year.

Yorkshire Bank provided debt for the deal. KPMG, CIL, CMS Cameron McKenna, JLT, Alvarez & Marsal advised.
