Capiton, the mid-market German investor, has acquired BWTS, a provider of maintenance services to wind power plants.
BWTS’s services includes regular maintenance, certification and servicing activities for onshore and offshore wind power plants.
Following the deal the company’s two founders and managing directors will retain a significant stake and continue to jointly manage BWTS.
Capiton sees opportunity to internationalise the business and expand the product portfolio through acquisitions. It also plans to help the company grow its offering to include rotor blade maintenance, which would help to secure more offshore work.
Capiton was advised by Deloitte, BMH, Willis and Keystone.
Capiton has €1.1bn under management and is currently managing a portfolio of ten SME business.
