Alpina invests in German digitisation company New Solutions

Alpina Partners, the mid-market private equity investor, has invested in New Solutions, a German provider of software for the digitalisation of business processes on the shop floor.

Headquartered in Bavaria and founded in 1999, New Solutions has a portfolio of software for the digitalisation of production-related processes involving employees, equipment and external partners.

“The innovative software solutions provided by New Solutions ideally complement the product offering of Alpina’s current portfolio companies in the area of shopfloor IT,” said Dr Florian Strehle, a partner at Alpina.

Alpina plans to expand the product and service portfolio of the company through a buy-and-build strategy.

This is Alpina’s third deal tin the last two weeks following the acquisitions of the quality management software division of US company Asi Datamyte and virtual reality business Virtalis.

Alpina has around €300m of assets under management. Its portfolio is made up of small and mid-sized businesses in Europe with strong technical unique selling points, and is supported by the European Union through the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Program.

Alpina was advised by AFR Aigner Fischer and AC Christes & Partner.
