Stirling Square Capital Partners, the pan-European mid-market private equity firm, has sold 3SI Security Systems, an asset protection systems and GPS tracking business, to LLR Partners, a Philadelphia-headquartered lower middle market private equity firm.
The sale marks the final exit from Stirling Square’s first fund.
3SI has operated in the asset protection systems market for more than 40 years, serving the financial and retail sectors among others.
3SI’s services include currency degradation and GPS tracking services to protect cash and high-value assets for banks, retailers, and law enforcement agencies.
During Stirling Square’s hold 3SI has evolved from a cash-in-transit security business to a technology-based security provider for a variety of industries.
Stirling Square was established in 2002. It invests in mid-market companies with enterprise values of between €50m and €500m. The firm manages three funds and a number of co-investment positions. It has more than €1bn of assets under management.
