James Cameron, the chairman of Climate Change Capital, has been appointed chairman of the UK think tank Overseas Development Institute (ODI).
Cameron helped negotiate the UNFCCC and Kyoto Protocol as an adviser to the Alliance of Small Island States, and has advised the UK government on climate change. He has also held academic appointments at Cambridge, London and Sydney.
ODI focuses on international development and humanitarian issues. “Development policy has already connected with climate change, energy and water as the paramount concerns for any society to survive and prosper,” said Cameron.
