First shoots of the season
This week, we turn our attention to Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).
The region has been hit by the perfect storm of Covid, the war in Ukraine and global macroeconomic challenges. This saw deal activity in the region plummet in 2022 to 12% below the average of the previous five years.
Last year the region saw signs of a potential rebound but is it too early to speak of recovery?
In our top story today, Real Deals speaks to regional GPs and industry experts about their outlook for private equity in CEE.
We extend our special thanks for their invaluable insights to:
- Małgorzata Bobrowska, president of the Polish Private Equity and Venture Capital Association
- Edgar Kolesnik, partner at Abris Capital Partners
- Peeter Saks, managing partner of BaltCap
- Maciej Cwikiewicz, CEO of PFR Ventures
