Carlyle’s Italian call centre business Comdata makes Czech bolt-on

The Carlyle Group‘s Italian customer management business Comdata has acquired three call centres from Comgate, a Czech business in the same sector.

Carlyle acquired Comdata in 2016 in the ninth deal from the firm’s fourth European fund, which closed at €3.75bn in 2015.

Headed in Milan, Comdata offers services including call centre provision and customer experience consulting to businesses in Europe, Africa and the Americas. It has around 670 clients and annual revenues of approximately €1bn.

During Carlyle’s hold, Comdata has also made acquisitions in France, Spain and Turkey.
