Invision Private Equity has exited hospitality school business Swiss Education Group (SEG) to Asia-based investment firm Summer Capital.
SEG has five schools on seven campuses in both German and French-speaking Switzerland and counts more than 6,000 students from 111 countries.
The business also has partnerships with University of Derby in the UK, and the US’s Northwood University and Washington State University.
Invision initially invested in SEG in 2008. It also backed the business in 2015 through its CHF350m (€301.2m) Invision Hospitality fund, the first investment from the vehicle.
During Invision’s hold, the business has grown its base which taught around 3,000 students across four campuses.
Summer Capital, which focuses on education and hospitality, picked up the business last week.
SEG’s chief executive Florent Rondez said: “Summer Capital is a stable and sound new owner for SEG, which has an understanding of the education and hotel sector and will be able to open up attractive growth opportunities for SEG and broaden the professional perspectives for our students.”
