Hg has strengthened its executive team with series of senior promotions and appointments.
Nick Jordan, Thorsten Toepfer, Jean-Baptiste Brian and Andrew Jessop have been promoted to partners at the firm.
Jordan is a member of Hg’s TMT team and led the firm’s investments in Zitcom, Esendex, Mobyt and Dada on behalf of the Mercury funds.
Toepfer is part of Hg’s Services team and has been instrumental in Hg’s investments in JLA, A-Plan, Citation and Radius, as well as co-leading the creation of the Cogital Group.
Brian has been involved with Hg’s investment in Visma, as well as co-leading the investments in Ullink and Mitratech.
Hg’s general counsel Jessop has taken on overall responsibility for operations at Hg, as well as leading the legal and compliance team.
In addition to these promotions, Hg has appointed Dawn Marriott-Sims to partner.
A previous COO at Capita, Marriott-Sims has been part of Hg’s operating partner programme. Marriott-Sims joined Capita in 2000 and served as COO from 2014 to 2016. In the role she was managing more than £3bn of revenue and 75,000 people.
Since leaving Capita two years ago, she has provided HG with operational expertise and capability to new investments as well as the existing portfolio.
Hg has also appointed Caroline Ruter as head of responsible investing. She joined Hg at the end of 2017, having previously been global head of supply chain sustainability at GlaxoSmithKline.
The appointments follow the the prior recruitment of Matthew Brockman and Justin von Simson as managing partners and Steven Batchelor’s promotion to chief operating officer at the end of 2017.
The new hires and those promoted will join the current Hg executive team led by senior partner Nic Humphries and the firm’s group of managing partners.
