Terra Firma has made two senior hires.
The firm has appointed Vivek Ahuja as partner and group chief financial officer.
Ahuja joins from Standard Chartered, where he spent 17 years rising to the position of deputy group chief financial officer. He has also worked at HSBC and ANZ over a career spanning three decades.
Ahuja will be responsible for the financial management of Terra Firma and its portfolio companies, and will work alongside the senior management team of Guy Hands, Justin King, and Andrew Géczy.
The firm has also appointed Mark Elliott as managing director and head of support capital.
Elliott joins from Lloyds Banking Group where he has spent ten years, most recently as managing director of corporate solutions in the commercial banking division.
Terra Firma’s support capital team targets lower mid-market investments, typically structured as mezzanine debt. Deals so far include the €15m investment in 21 Centrale Partners-backed Cleor and Equistone Partners Europe’s SportGroup.
Terra Firma has also appointed David Browne as a director in its private equity team. Browne has more than 15 years’ experience in the asset class, most recently working at New York-based firm Paine Schwartz Partners.
