Stockholm-based buyout firm Accent Equity Partners has held a final close of its latest fund at SEK3bn (€320m).
Around 20 investors backed the fund including pension funds, insurance companies, endowment funds, asset managers and funds of funds. Some 25 per cent of commitments came from Nordic investors, 60 per cent from ones in the rest of Europe, and 15 per cent from North American and Asian institutions.
Accent plans to invest this fund in lower mid-market transactions in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark in the SEK200m to SEK500m value range.
The strategy is broadly the same as that used for previous funds, except that it will focus to an even greater extent on the Nordic region.
Businesses invested in by Accent so far this year include Swedish dental group Oral Care and Swedish flower companies Rydells Försäljning and S-Blommor i Stockholm.
