LDC has sold marketing business The Creative Engagement Group for £25m (€28.5m) to a trade buyer, PR business Huntsworth Group.
LDC first invested in the business that is now The Creative Engagement Group in 2011 when it bought a stake in marketing business WRG. Under LDC’s hold, WRG completed three acquisitions, including Canyon, and was integrated with The Moment, a spin-out from LDC portfolio company TwoFour Group.
TCEG now consists of three creative agencies – WRG, The Moment and Just Communicate – that provide a range of marketing services, including experiential marketing, events management, digital marketing, and virtual and augmented reality. It has a particular focus on the healthcare sector, and also works with clients in professional services, banking, leisure and tourism.
LDC was advised on the transaction by Clearwater International, Addleshaw Goddard and KPMG.
