Douglas, the beauty sector retailer backed by CVC, has acquired the Italian beauty and perfumery chains Limoni and La Gardenia from Italian private equity firm Orlando.
The two businesses joined up in 2013 and trade as Leading Luxury Group (LLG), which operates 500 store across Italy. The company is led by chief executive Fabio Pampani.
The purchase of LLG follows Douglas’s recent acquisition of Bodybell in Spain from H.I.G. Capital.
After the deal closes Douglas, which is led by chief executive Isabelle Parize, will run more than 2,000 perfumeries across 19 European countries.
CVC bought Douglas from Advent International in June 2015. Advent took the business private in 2013, investing €1.2bn for a majority stake.
Douglas was founded by the Kreke family.
