AnaCap Financial Partners, the European financial services investor, has acquired business intelligence provider Ellisphere from French bank Natixis.
Ellisphere provides business and marketing information services, which allow users to develop their customer portfolio, manage risk and monitor client exposure.
The French company aims to use AnaCap’s investment to expand, creating new products aimed at SMEs.
“Ellisphere offers a unique position in the French market, with direct access to a diversified base of clients and significant potential for expansion,” said AnaCap director Nassim Cherchali.
The business began life as part of Coface, a French company that initially specialised in export credit insurance.
Coface was bought out by Natixis in 2006, and in 2014 the bank carved out Coface Services and renamed it Ellisphere. A new management team was appointed, and the business has since continued to expand its products and services centred around core business intelligence activities.
Headquartered in Nanterre, Ellisphere employs more than 300 staff across eight locations in France.
