The Business Growth Fund has backed Sentric Music with a £3m (€3.5m) investment.
Sentric provides music publishing, licensing and royalty collection services. The company has worked with some 90,000 songwriters and artists including Bloc Party, Bastille and Cabbage.
It also runs a sub-publishing division which represents more than 100,000 songs and has a share of “One Dance” by Drake (pictured), which topped the UK charts for 15 weeks in 2016.
Based in Liverpool, Sentric employs 40 people in the UK, Hamburg, Amsterdam, New York and Los Angeles.
The company is led by founder and chief executive Chris Meehan.
