FSN Capital has acquired Nordic sporting goods supplier Active Brands from Holta Invest.

FSN has made the investment from its FSN Capital IV fund. Holta will reinvest and hold a 20 per cent stake in the company. The management team and founders will reinvest alongside FSN too.

Active Brands manages a portfolio of sports apparel and equipment brands, including Kari Traa, Dæhlie, Bula and Sweet Protection.

Based in Norway, Active Brands has posted annual organic growth of 30 per cent since 2013, according to FSN. The company is led by chief executive Espen Krogstad.

Holta Invest set up the Active Brands platform in 2010 to consolidate the sporting goods industry in Norway.
