Springer Science merger creates publishing giant
BC Partners' portfolio company Springer Science has merged with rival publisher Macmillan Science and Education.
The deal will see Macmillan owner Holtzbrinck hold a 53 per cent stake in the new entity, with the remainder going to BC Partners.
