Newly launched Pemberton Capital Advisors has appointed Christopher Higgins as chief operating officer and Sarah Whitehead as internal legal council.

Higgins joins from the non-core division of RBS, where he was chief administration officer. The division was created in 2009 to manage down a £425bn portfolio of non-strategic businesses, loan assets and trading positions. Prior to that Higgins held a number of chief operating roles in the debt and credit markets businesses of RBS’s global banking & merchants division.

Higgins graduated from the University of Oxford with a BA in law and received his MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Whitehead, a qualified solicitor, joins from ING Group where she was a managing director, heading up debt capital markets operations in Moscow. Prior to that she worked as a director in the debt capital markets department at ING Barings in London. Whitehead has also held positions at Linklaters and Clifford Chance.

Whitehead graduated with a BA in English from the University of Oxford, qualifying as a solicitor in 1993.
