3i appoints Sir Adrian Montague as next chairman

Published Monday, 10 May 2010 in News.

3i has announced that it will appoint Sir Adrian Montague to succeed Baroness Hogg as its chairman.

The appointment comes ahead of the firm's annual results, which are due to be revealed on Thursday.

Montague will take over the chairmanship from the conclusion of 3i’s AGM in July, joining the board as a non-executive director with effect from 1 June.

Hogg took up her new role as chairman of the Financial Reporting Council on 1 May 2010.

Montague’s career to date spans both private and public sector leadership roles. He is currently non-executive chairman of Michael Page International, CellMark and Anglian Water Group, as well as non-executive director at Skanska.

Previously, he was chairman of Friends Provident, British Energy Group, Cross London Rail Links and deputy chairman of Network Rail.
