Frankfurt private equity firm Silver Investment Partners has made an undisclosed investment in PTF Pfüller, an SME that manufactures high-precision parts.
While no deal size has been announced, PTF turned over around €10m in its last financial year.
The manufacturer employs 110 staff in Germany and 27 in China. It designs and processes aluminium alloys, stainless steels, titanium, plastics and other materials to make complex parts and assemblies for use in medtech products, the aerospace industry, optics, lasers and semiconductors.
PTF has also developed an automated ultrasonic cleaning system for companies in high-tech industries, which rely on pure and absolutely dust-free precision parts. This will be put into operation from the third quarter this year.
Expansion of its German facilities is expected in the next six to 12 months and the private equity firm sees growth potential in the Scandinavian and Swiss markets.
Silver Investment Partners was set up in 2009 and this marks its second investment.
