Inflexion scoops top honour at Private Equity Awards

More than 700 of the UK private equity industry's top brass descended on the London Hilton hotel last night to celebrate the ninth annual Real Deals/BVCA Private Equity Awards.

More than 700 of the UK private equity industry's top brass descended on the London Hilton hotel last night to celebrate the ninth annual Real Deals/BVCA Private Equity Awards.

Inflexion Private Equity netted the top honour on the night, walking away with the Buyout House of the Year award.

Other winners included NVM Private Equity, which won the Deal of the Year category for its investment in DxS; Abingworth, which won Venture House of the Year; and Index Ventures, which took home the Fundraising of the Year Award.

The event also saw Lord Drayson named as Real Deals' Personality of the Year, while there were three new inductees into the Private Equity Hall of Fame: HgCapital chairman Ian Armitage, Capital Dynamics managing director John Gripton and Traver Smith's head of financial services Margaret Chamberlain.
