EVCA has this week launched a website to provide a forum for debate around the role of private equity and venture capital in the real economy.
The site – www.realeconomyfuel.eu – is the latest step in EVCA's ongoing drive to encourage an informed discussion about the real role of the asset class within Europe, which currently faces an unprecedented regulatory threat from the EU.
The site includes an online forum for discussion with a wide array of stakeholders including entrepreneurs, company executives, employee representatives, policymakers, institutional investors, academics, students, leading commentators and those active in the private equity and venture capital industry.
Conversations will be led by chief executives, journalists, institutional investors, academics and advisers, with Pantheon Ventures senior partner Carol Kennedy and SJ Berwin partner Simon Witney among the names signed up.
The site will also provide a repository for case histories and research around the contribution and role private equity and venture capital plays in the European economy.
