Resource Eastern European Equity Partners has reached a first close of €51m for its debut fund.

The firm, set up by former Carlyle managing director Ryszard Wojtkowski, has gained commitments of €25m each from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Dutch Rabobank Group. Resources Partners will contributed €1m.

The fund has a final target of €200m.  

Resource Eastern European Equity Partners will focus primarily on mid-cap agribusinesses in Poland, as well as in other EU member states in Central and south-eastern Europe, operating in food processing, manufacturing, retail and logistics sectors.
