Deutsche Beteiligungs (DBAG) has sold its interest in Coperion to US-based Hillenbrand.

DBAG acquired Coperion for €300m in 2007 from Lyceum Capital. The company manufactures complete bulk materials conveyor systems, as well as machines for the production and processing of plastics, chemicals and food in powder and granular form.

Since DBAG's investment Coperion has expanded its business services and established further international sales offices, as well as increasing its activity in China, India and the Middle East. At the start of this year Coperion made two bolt-on acquisitions. In the past 12 months the company generated revenues of €518m, compared with €480m in 2007.
