Technology-based due diligence consultant Vorteq has appointed Satya Sharma and Peter Dobson. 

Sharma is the executive director of the Centre of Excellence for Wireless and Information Technology at the University of New York, Stony Brook. Prior to that he was senior vice-president at Symbol Technologies. Previously, he was a director of AT&T Power Systems. 

Dobson is the academic director of the University of Oxford's Begbroke Science Park. He holds a PhD in physics and was recently made a Fellow of the Royal Chemical Society. He is also the strategic adviser on nanotechnology to the research councils in the UK.
