GE Capital has appointed Ralph Betz to head up its leveraged finance team in Germany.

Based in Frankfurt, he will report to Paul Scott, chief investment officer and head of sponsor coverage for EMEA, and will be responsible for leading GE's origination alongside Theo Weber. 

Betz joins from the Bank of Ireland where he was head of acquisition finance, based in Frankfurt. He began his career at BHF Bank in Frankfurt, before spending six years at the Bank of Scotland. He is a graduate of San Diego State University and Hochschule für Bankwirtschaft in Frankfurt.
