French private equity firm Astorg Partners has appointed François de Mitry of Intermediate Capital Group as partner.

Mitry began his career at CCF and in 1991 went on to join the acquisition and leveraged finance team at Societe Generale. He joined ICG in 1997, focusing on arranging and providing mezzanine finance for LBO deal in Europe. He was appointed as managing director in 2005, and then took responsibility for ICG's investment activities in mezzanine and equity.

“He will split his time between Paris and London, and his international experience and in-depth knowledge of the European private equity markets, both on debt and equity components, will be an invaluable asset for Astorg’s future growth," commented Xavier Moreno, chairman and founding managing partner of Astorg.
