Bregal Investments has appointed Steven Black and Quentin Van Doosselaere as co-chief executives, while Louis Brenninkmeijer has been named as non-executive chairman.
The succession, which is effective in January 2013, sees Black and Van Doosselaere replacing founding Bregal chairmen Louis Brenninkmeijer and Yves de Balmann. Balmann will retire at the end of 2012 while Brenninkmeijer will move into the newly created role of non-executive chairman.
Black has had a long-standing career at JP Morgan, Citigroup and Salomon Smith Barney. In addition, Black is a member of the board of directors of NASDAQ. He will be based in London.
Van Doosselaere joined Bregal's senior management team in 2009 and is a member of the investment committees for all Bregal funds. He will be based in New York.
