Access Group, a business software provider backed by Lyceum Capital, has bought French business intelligence company Prelytis for €4m.

The deal, the sixth bolt-on since Lyceum bought Access for £50m last March, is part of the company's strategy to shift to a SaaS offering.

The company will integrate Prelytis’s LiveDashBoard, which has 100,000 daily users, providing the group's customers with access to real-time business information any time. Clients include ADP, LaSer Cofinoga and Takasago.

According to a statement by Access, the deal will enable Access to accelerate its organic growth rate of 13 per cent.

The business information market is due to grow by more than eight per cent until 2015, according to analysts at Gartner Group, who also predict that 33 per cent of this data will be consumed on handheld devices by 2013.
