Wachstumsfonds Mittlestand Sachsen (WMS), Leipzig and Demeter Partners have acquired a 26.5 per cent stake in Dr. Foedisch Umweltmesstechnik.

Established in 1991, Foedisch focuses on the development of environmental measuring devices in Germany. It also provides continuous emissions measuring technology. Over the last ten years the company has been active in the field of gas analysis and has developed devices for hot and cold gases that measure carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxide, sulphur dioxide, hydrogen chloride and ammonium hydroxide.

As well as providing single instruments the company also offers a service for planning, installing and maintaining continuous emission measuring technology.

Following the deal, the new investors will support the company's growth through a buy-and-build strategy.
