August Equity has carried out a buy-in management buyout (BIMBO) of Aspirations Care Group, a community care services provider.
Headquartered in Gloucester, Aspirations specialises in supporting individuals with complex and challenging behaviour. The business provides specialist living and community support for children and adults with mental health problems and/or profound learning disabilities. It currently serves over 700 people and employs over 1,000 staff.
August is backing a management team led by chief executive Christine Cameron. Cameron was previously chief operating officer of Craegmoor. Stephen Booty joins the board as chairman. Booty is also the deputy chairman in another two August-backed companies, Active Assistance Group and Enara Group.
In a statement, August parter Aatif Hassan said Aspirations would be developed “both organically and by acquisition”, hinting at future buy-and-build activity.
