Maven Capital partners has appointed Ben Bolt as investment director, formerly of Catapult Venture Managers. 

In his new role, Bolt will work alongside Andrew Ferguson in the firm's Midlands and Southern England team, and will be based in the Birmingham and London offices. He will focus on sourcing and executing investment opportunities, writing equity cheques between £2m (€2.5m) and £10m to UK companies for buyouts, expansion capital, replacement capital and acquisition finance.

Bolt joins from Catapult, where he was an investment director for three years. Prior to that he held a similar role at Kaupthing. Earlier in his career he worked at Deloitte, qualifying as an ACA and advising on M&A and private equity in the mid market.
