GA Europe has invested in footwear chain Shoon, which went into administration in February this year. 

Shoon will continue to operate 11 stores across the country, as well as its online platform, which has a head office and distribution facility in Wells, Somerset. As part of the deal, managing director Carolyn Simons, formerly managing director of Homestyle Group and commercial director of Homebase, has joined the company as non-executive chairman.

Ian Robert of Kingston Smith & Partners, the administrator to Shoon, said more than 150 jobs will be saved as a result of the deal.
