LDC is in the final stages of its acquisition of Airline Services, in a deal that values the business at over £30m (€35.9m).
The Manchester-based company provides a range of services in the area of aircraft presentation and cabin interior services. The company comprises five main divisions – ramp operations, such as de-icing, cleaning and carpet fitting; engineering and workshop activities, such as repair of seats and galley; IFE products, including on-wing support; soft furnishings; and component support.
The company currently services over 100 airlines including major names such as Easyjet, TUI, BMI, Emirates and Air France. It has operating bases at 11 UK airports.
According to the Manchester Evening News, LDC faced competition from several rival buyout houses.
The deal marks LDC's second transaction in one week, as it announced the buyout of TD Travel on Wednesday.
