Swedish private equity firm Litorina has acquired Fiskarhedenvillan Group from Polaris Private Equity. Financial details were not disclosed.

Fiskarhedenvillan supplies around 500 family houses each year. The company generates sales of around SKr400m (€45m) and employs 60 staff.

Fiskarhedenvillan produces “house-building kits”. The customer receives the building materials in stages in the form of building kits, as the construction progresses.

The company's primary markets are Sweden and Norway, although it also sells to Denmark, Finland and Russia.

Litoria believes the weak construction market in recent years will have generated an accumulated demand for new builds.

“We will expand our network of local agents in Norway, streamline logistics for our deliveries and intensify our product development, particularly with regard to energy-efficient buildings. We will also further strengthen our resources for tailored customer solutions and focus on maintaining our high levels of quality and customer satisfaction,” commented Gunnar Jönsson, chief executive of Fiskarhedenvillan.
