Nordic private equity shop Altor is looking to offload clothing business Helly Hansen for around NKr2bn (€259.7m).

A report in Swedish daily paper DN quotes Altor partner Hugo Maurstad as saying that Helly Hansen is worth NKr2bn based on comparable company values and the work the growth investor has achieved.

In December last year, Montagu Private Equity acquired Helly Hansen Pro alongside its existing management team from the Helly Hansen Group for an undisclosed sum. The firm rebranded the  survival and personal protection suits maker as Hansen Protection.

Altor bought Helly Hansen from Investcorp in 2006 on undisclosed terms.
