Brightpearl has received $5m (€3.5m) in a series A funding round from Notion Capital and Eden Ventures.
Brightpearl develops an end-to-end web-based solution for small and medium-sized enterprises that provides a fully integrated accounting, CRM, order and stock management, e-commerce and help desk capability. The Bristol-based company was set up by Chris Tanner in 2007.
The funding will enable the company to accelerate its expansion in the US and further develop its cloud-based solution.
In the last 11 months Brightpearl has hired a new chief executive, tripled the size of the business and launched in the US.
“Brightpearl is a fantastic example of a British company succeeding and growing internationally, especially when you consider that the company is just four years old. There is real momentum now to solidify its presence in the UK and expand further into new markets,” said Chris Tottman, partner at Notion Capital.
